HGTV Magazine Front Door Knock Off

Fall Leaf Wreath
I received my new HGTV Magazine November Issue and instantly fell in love with the front door wreath. The inside generally lists where you can find similar items to what they used but I was disappointed when the wreath they suggested wasn’t the one on the front. So I took matters into my own hands and decided to try and make the one I LOVED!!!

This wreath is so inexpensive and doesn’t take too much time to create. Especially when I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all my leaves! If you haven’t used one of the Cameo’s you are really missing out but this wreath doesn’t need the machine it just makes it easier.

Items I used:
14″ Foam Circle
Fall Colored Cardstock
Hot Glue

I first found a simple leaf shape from the Silhouette store. I used “Leaf Set” ID#66108 by Basic Grey and used only the leaf farthest to the left.

Leaf Set

I used about 6 sheets of cardstock. Once they were all cute out I folded them in half with my bone folder to give them some dimension.

I then put hot glue on the tips of the leaves and attached them to the foam circle wreath form. I filled the top area first and then filled in the sides so you can’t see the wreath form.

The project took me about 45 minutes start to finish. The wreath turned out amazing! Now I’m looking at what other kinds of wreaths I can make for Christmas!

I would love to see your take on the wreath. Send me pics at or post them in the comments section.
