DIY Subway Art

My latest project to finish is my daughter’s bedroom. I painted a herringbone pattern on the wall a few months ago but that’s as far as I’ve made it. We went a got her a new “big girl” bed last week and she has done fantastic with the switch! BUT….I need to get her “big girl” room finished. I have been working on some artwork for her wall. Here is the first one that I’ve made and you can make one too.

I used my Silhouette Studio to create my subway art but you could use any program like Microsoft Word to create it as well. I found the idea off of Pinterest from a Seaside Shelter, but decided to change it a little.

Start with a font you like. I used LD Cotton Candy from the Silhouette store. I used it for the May 12, 2012 words. Add your surrounding words around the paper like I’ve showed below.

Once I completed the wording I wanted I printed off using my home printer and cardstock.

I cut it down to 8″x10″ and put it in a white frame I had at home. That’s it! Simple and easy, custom art!
